10:10-10:25am – Icebreaker (15 mins) |
The mentee has the opportunity to share new information with the group in this communication exercise that draws from decision making and critical thinking skills.

Serving as the facilitator of this icebreaker, the mentor will encourage the mentees to use their decision making and critical thinking skills to communicate new information to the group. |

Charades |

10:25-11:00 am – Activity 1 (35 mins) |
In this classic game, mentees will exhibit their nonverbal communication skills to portray a person, place, or thing to be identified by the group.

The mentor will moderate the game of charades while encouraging mentees to utilize their nonverbal communication skills to convey their person, place, or thing. |

Interviews |

11:00-11:25am – Activity 2 (25 mins) |
Verbal skills are at the forefront of this exercise in which mentees interview one another and their mentors about the program.
|
Mentors will participate in informational interviews with the mentees to capture information about the program as well as develop their verbal communication skills. |
